Welcome to Tadpole

Hello! My name is Nimira. I’m the owner of Tadpole Children’s Shoppe. If you’re reading this then you’ve found your way to my shop. Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. 

I opened up Tadpole in 2007 with a very small brick and mortar store. A year and a half later, I moved to a larger location where Tadpole grew roots and developed long lasting friendships in this community that lasted for 13 years. 

In 2019, I decided to close my store and focus my attention on building my online store. I really loved my shop when it was a store front. Mostly, because I loved meeting all the lovely families who came in to shop for that special little person in their lives. Those wonderful memories will always stay with me. 

If you’re wondering why I decided to open a baby store, there were a few reasons but the two most important ones are; it has always been a dream come true to open up a small business, in specific a children’s store. Even the name Tadpole was always swimming in my head. The second reason are my two beautiful children. I have a daughter and a son, they are my joy and were always my inspiration every single day I went to work. Everything I purchased for my shop, I thought about them. If it wasn’t good enough to bring into my home then it wasn’t good enough to sell to another family. 

The one aspect about my business is that it's not about selling you something, it’s about providing you with products to purchase that are safe and well-made because I know it’s going to a very special little one. I have always stayed true to this philosophy.
